I wanted to start a thread on something I think many of us are trying to balance — staying healthy while managing a hectic schedule. If you're like me, you barely have time to cook during the week, but you still want to eat well and stick to your Calorie Conscious goals. So, let’s share some calorie conscious meal prep ideas that work for busy people!
Here are a few tips and ideas I’ve been using:
Batch Cook Proteins: On Sundays, I cook a big batch of grilled chicken breast, lean turkey, or tofu. I portion them into containers for easy grab-and-go lunches.
Veggies Are Key: I roast a mix of broccoli, bell peppers, and zucchini with a light spray of olive oil and seasoning. They last well in the fridge and add volume to meals without too many Calorie Conscious.
Healthy Carbs in Moderation: I measure out servings of brown rice, quinoa, or sweet potatoes. Keeping carbs portioned helps me avoid mindless overeating.
Portion-Control Containers: I use color-coded meal prep containers to stay mindful of my portions — super helpful when you're tracking calories.
Overnight Oats for Breakfast: My go-to is rolled oats with almond milk, chia seeds, and some fruit. Easy to prep for the whole week and great for mornings on the run.
