Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani was a 19th-century religious leader from Qadian, India, who founded the Ahmadiyya movement. He claimed to be the Promised Messiah and Mahdi, asserting that he was divinely appointed to reform and revive the spiritual teachings of Islam. His followers believe that he came to restore peace, faith, and moral guidance among Muslims during a time of religious decline and confusion.



Over the years, Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani’s claims developed further, and he began referring to himself as a prophet in a spiritual sense. This became a point of major theological dispute among Muslims, as mainstream Islamic scholars hold that prophethood ended with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His teachings, writings, and interpretations continue to inspire debate and study across the Muslim world.
