How do you properly dispose of old batteries without breaking any regulations or causing environmental damage? (23 อ่าน)

<p dir="ltr">Never really thought about this until I had a pile of mixed batteries from old devices and a couple of EV modules to get rid of. What should you actually look for when choosing a battery recycling service to make sure it is done right?

Had a similar situation a while back with a mix of lithium-ion packs, some old lead acid units, and a bag of random alkaline batteries from around the office. The first thing I figured out was that you really cannot just toss them all together since different chemistry types need separate handling.

What I found useful was looking for a service that actually sorts and packages batteries properly before transport, not just one that collects and ships everything in bulk. I came across this link while researching what certified recycling is supposed to cover, and it gave a clearer picture of what a proper process looks like compared to generic collection points. Things like insulating terminals, correct labeling, and compliance consulting are not details most people think about but they matter when you are dealing with anything lithium or nickel-based. Some providers also handle on-site EV battery teardown which is not something every company offers.
